Each two-hour session focuses on a specific aspect of NVC, combining introductory discussions, group activities, and practical applications. The carefully crafted curriculum includes themes like "Giving from the Heart," "Observing without Evaluating," and "Expressing Anger Fully," providing a comprehensive exploration of NVC principles.

Ayesha's teaching methodology is characterized by its educational depth, compassionate insightfulness, and engaging interactivity. Hosted via Zoom every Monday at 7 pm GMT, these workshops foster a nurturing and inclusive community environment for all participants, irrespective of their prior NVC experience. Week 3: Observing without Evaluating

In Week 3 of our Nonviolent Communication workshop, we will dive deep into the art of observing without evaluating—a crucial skill in fostering compassionate communication and building meaningful connections.

What You'll Be Learning:

· Talking Without Criticism or Judgment: Discover how to communicate in a way that honors the dignity of others, ensuring they don't feel criticized or judged.

· The Impact of Labeling: Explore how labeling individuals can inadvertently offend others and create barriers to understanding.

· Avoiding Defensiveness: Learn how the use of absolute terms like "always" or "never" can provoke defensiveness and hinder productive dialogue.

Why Attend This Session:

Just as in Week 2, where we delved into "Communication That Blocks Compassion," this session builds upon the foundational principles of Nonviolent Communication. We will continue to unravel the patterns of communication that perpetuate hurt and disconnection, replacing them with tools for fostering empathy, respect, and understanding.

In Week 3, we'll equip you with practical strategies for communicating without judgment or criticism, paving the way for more harmonious relationships and authentic connections. By mastering the art of observing without evaluating, you'll enhance your ability to express yourself authentically while fostering empathy and collaboration with others.

Here's what clients are saying:

“Just as a quick update, I have been able to have a conversation with my husband over this weekend and I have tried hard to use NVC. At times is wasn't always possible for me to be able to fully express myself, but I think we have made really good progress. We talked Saturday and Sunday and on Sunday he said that he had not realised how much certain thing really meant to me. I have set the challenge that I will make the effort to tell him how I'm feeling everyday, whether that is positive or negative. I feel really happy and hopeful (and very emotional) this morning. Thank you”

“I learned about the non-violent communication process, on how I can use this technique to speak to my dad about making him feel comfortable in being vulnerable. Finding comfort in speaking to someone else (whether that’s me or not). Discussing how I would approach it and having Ayesha point out how I might approach it different (be more observant and less judgemental).

By doing this exercise I can see how it can work in a given situation, understanding the importance of practicing what I say, by thinking about how I feel and why I feel like this. I was able to see how I can reframe my thinking to be more open and have those caring/authentic conversations…Having the ammunition to confront my dad about opening up in a non-judgemental and caring way. Understanding that it won’t work straight away, but its important to say my whole sentence, so that it sits within him subconsciously”

“I called my cousin and spoke to him about how I would like to reconnect with him. I followed the NVC script I had as guidance, but the main things I wanted him to know was that I was sorry for not contacting him when he first had a kid and that I want to reconnect”
