Here's what clients are saying:

"Thank you so much for this workshop!"

“Just as a quick update, I have been able to have a conversation with my husband over this weekend and I have tried hard to use NVC. At times is wasn't always possible for me to be able to fully express myself, but I think we have made really good progress. We talked Saturday and Sunday and on Sunday he said that he had not realised how much certain thing really meant to me. I have set the challenge that I will make the effort to tell him how I'm feeling everyday, whether that is positive or negative. I feel really happy and hopeful (and very emotional) this morning. Thank you”

“I learned about the non-violent communication process, on how I can use this technique to speak to my dad about making him feel comfortable in being vulnerable. Finding comfort in speaking to someone else (whether that’s me or not). Discussing how I would approach it and having Ayesha point out how I might approach it different (be more observant and less judgemental).

By doing this exercise I can see how it can work in a given situation, understanding the importance of practicing what I say, by thinking about how I feel and why I feel like this. I was able to see how I can reframe my thinking to be more open and have those caring/authentic conversations…Having the ammunition to confront my dad about opening up in a non-judgemental and caring way. Understanding that it won’t work straight away, but its important to say my whole sentence, so that it sits within him subconsciously”

“I called my cousin and spoke to him about how I would like to reconnect with him. I followed the NVC script I had as guidance, but the main things I wanted him to know was that I was sorry for not contacting him when he first had a kid and that I want to reconnect”

Week 2: "Communication That Blocks Compassion"

It is inherent in our nature to both give and receive compassion. Yet, societal conditioning has often ingrained in us various forms of communication that serve to alienate us from one another, causing harm both to ourselves and others. In this workshop, we will delve into these patterns of life-alienating communication, exploring how they hinder effective communication, foster hurt and pain, and even incite violence. Together, we will uncover a more compassionate approach to communication—one that allows us to express our frustrations and needs while upholding respect, ensuring both parties feel heard, and facilitating the fulfillment of mutual needs.

In this session, we will explore:

- Forms of Life-Alienating Communication: Identifying specific language patterns and communication habits that perpetuate violence towards ourselves and others, such as judgments, denials of responsibility, and comparisons.

- The Role of Judgment and Comparison in Promoting Violence: Understanding how classifying and judging individuals contributes to an atmosphere of hostility and conflict.

- Recognizing the Dangers of Language That Obscures Personal Responsibility: Exploring how our language can sometimes shield us from acknowledging our role in conflicts and hinder genuine resolution.

- Cultivating Awareness of Language That Implies Absence of Choice: Reflecting on the implications of language that implies a lack of agency and the importance of reclaiming our power through conscious communication.

Here's what clients are saying:

Week 3: Observing without Evaluating

In Week 3 of our Nonviolent Communication workshop, we will dive deep into the art of observing without evaluating—a crucial skill in fostering compassionate communication and building meaningful connections.

What You'll Be Learning:

· Talking Without Criticism or Judgment: Discover how to communicate in a way that honors the dignity of others, ensuring they don't feel criticized or judged.

· The Impact of Labeling: Explore how labeling individuals can inadvertently offend others and create barriers to understanding.

· Avoiding Defensiveness: Learn how the use of absolute terms like "always" or "never" can provoke defensiveness and hinder productive dialogue.

Why Attend This Session:

Just as in Week 2, where we delved into "Communication That Blocks Compassion," this session builds upon the foundational principles of Nonviolent Communication. We will continue to unravel the patterns of communication that perpetuate hurt and disconnection, replacing them with tools for fostering empathy, respect, and understanding.

In Week 3, we'll equip you with practical strategies for communicating without judgment or criticism, paving the way for more harmonious relationships and authentic connections. By mastering the art of observing without evaluating, you'll enhance your ability to express yourself authentically while fostering empathy and collaboration with others.

Here's what clients are saying:

"Your authentic purpose lies within the essence of what you truly cherish and value, especially during your younger years. Aligning with your values unlocks your personal power. Your true values are hidden under layers of beliefs, patterns, programming placed on you. Your beliefs and the stories you tell yourself may not truly belong to you. Unlock the power of manifestation by aligning your actions, mindset, and attitude with your core values. As you embrace your true self, the limiting beliefs and false narratives that don't resonate with you will naturally fade away. In their place, the beliefs, patterns, and stories that align with your authentic self will become clearer" - Ayesha Giselle - Host
